Description

The DGS-1210-28/ME switch is an ideal solution for use in Metro Ethernet networks. This switch is equipped with 24 10/100/1000Base-T ports for twisted pair connection, as well as 4 SFP ports used to organize connection to a high-speed backbone. 6 kV static electricity protection provides immunity to power surges, and a full set of security and authentication functions protects the network from internal and external threats. The DGS-1210-28/ME supports Auto Voice VLAN, providing maximum priority for "voice" traffic.

Fault tolerance/high performance

The DGS-1210-28/ME switch supports Spanning Tree (STP) protocols: 802.1D-2004 edition, 802.1w and 802.1s. STP protocols allow you to organize a backup data transmission route used in the event of network failures. The DGS-1210-28/ME also supports 802.3ad Link Aggregation, which enables grouping multiple ports together to increase bandwidth and improve connection resiliency. The switch supports 802.1p for Quality of Service (QoS), which enables real-time traffic classification into 8 queues using Strict and Weighted Round Robin (WRR) processing mechanisms. Packet classification is based on TOS, DSCP, MAC address, IPv4/IPv6 address, VLAN ID, TCP/UDP port number, protocol type, or user-defined packet content, providing flexible configuration for specific multimedia applications such as VoIP or IPTV.
