Wireless Interface

Using the DIR-842 wireless router, you can quickly set up a high-speed wireless network at home and in the office, providing access to the Internet to computers and mobile devices almost anywhere (within the wireless network coverage area). Simultaneous operation in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz ranges allows you to use the wireless network for a wide range of tasks. The router can function as a base station for connecting devices operating according to the 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.11ac standards (with a wireless connection speed of up to 1167 Mbps)1 to a wireless network.

Secure wireless connection

The router has many functions for the wireless interface. The device supports several security standards (WEP, WPA/WPA2/WPA3), filtering of connected devices by MAC address, and also allows the use of WPS and WMM technologies.

In addition, the device is equipped with a button for turning the Wi-Fi network on/off. If necessary, for example, when leaving home, you can turn off the router's wireless network with one click of a button, while the devices connected to the router's LAN ports will remain on the network.
