Increased Speed ​​and Extended Network Range

The DWA-582 adapter lets you connect to a wireless network at a higher speed and work stably at a greater distance, compared to dual-band 802.11n adapters. The DWA-582 supports two frequency bands, 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, and provides a maximum wireless connection speed of up to 300 Mbps for 2.4 GHz and up to 867 Mbps for 5 GHz. The ability to work in the 5 GHz range reduces the impact of interference from third-party Wi-Fi networks, increases throughput and, therefore, increases the speed of streaming data, gaming and VoIP telephony.

MU-MIMO

The DWA-582 supports MU-MIMO technology, which allows you to maximize the capabilities of 802.11ac Wave 2 wireless routers. When several clients with MU-MIMO support are connected to an 802.11ac Wave 2 router, it can simultaneously transmit independent data streams to them through different antennas. This allows for more efficient use of the radio channel for data transmission and significantly increases the overall throughput of the Wi-Fi network.

PCI Express technology provides high bandwidth and increased performance. The PCI Express X1 interface allows you to connect the DWA-582 adapter to any PCIe slot on your computer - x1, x4, x8 or x16. By installing the adapter inside the system unit, you save space, and the antennas are securely hidden on the back panel of the unit.

The wireless adapter is designed for use in large homes and for users who need high-speed networking. Using this adapter in conjunction with a Wireless AC wireless router provides maximum performance and allows you to stay connected anywhere in the house. The DWA-582 is backward compatible with 802.11n/g/b/a devices.

Reliable protection

Support for WPA/WPA2 encryption protocols and WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) technology allows you to establish a secure wireless connection. When using WPS, simply press the WPS button on the access point/router.

Using an external antenna

To connect an external antenna (except for ANT70-1400N), you need the ANT24-CB01N adapter cable. To increase the distance between the wireless device and the external antenna, we recommend additionally using the ANT24-CB03N / ANT24-CB06N / ANT24-CB09N ​​cable extenders.

When installing the antenna outdoors, it is recommended to use the ANT-SP lightning protection module.
