Description

The DWA-182 802.11ac1 wireless USB adapter allows you to connect a laptop or desktop computer to a wireless network and provides increased data transfer speeds in this network. By connecting to a wireless network with Internet access, you can browse the Web and chat with friends online. The dual-band adapter supports operation in the 2.4 GHz (300 Mbps2) or 5 GHz (up to 867 Mbps2) ranges. The ability to operate in the 5 GHz range reduces the impact of interference from third-party Wi-Fi networks, increases throughput and, therefore, increases the speed of streaming data, gaming and VoIP telephony.

802.11ac1 Standard

802.11ac1 is a new wireless communication standard that provides high data transfer rates in the 5 GHz frequency band. MU-MIMO

The DWA-182 supports MU-MIMO technology, which allows you to maximize the capabilities of 802.11ac Wave 2 wireless routers. When several clients with MU-MIMO support are connected to an 802.11ac Wave 2 router, it can simultaneously transmit independent data streams to them through different antennas. This allows for more efficient use of the radio channel for data transmission and significantly increases the overall throughput of the Wi-Fi network.

Compatible with all wireless devices

The DWA-182 supports the latest 802.11ac1 standard, while maintaining backward compatibility with existing 802.11 wireless devices.

Interference-free bandwidth

With dual-band support, the DWA-182 lets you use the interference-free 5 GHz band. Check your email and surf the web on the 2.4 GHz band, and play online games, make Internet calls, and stream HD video on the low-interference 5 GHz band.

USB 3.0 for maximum data transfer speeds

The DWA-182 supports high-speed USB 3.0. When connected to a compatible USB 3.0 device at 5 GHz, the DWA-182 automatically switches to USB 3.0 mode, providing maximum data transfer speeds using all the benefits of the 802.11ac1 standard.
